Perplexity describes putting Astra to work on complete systems

In an OpenAI case study, Perplexity co-founder Johnny Ho describes using GPT-6 Astra for communications, software changes, and monitoring. One example involves generating a testing program that simulates responses from connected services to exercise an application from end to end.

Context

This is a customer account published by the model’s vendor, rather than an independent reliability study. The useful idea is the feedback loop: generated code should be exercised in a realistic environment. The harder follow-up is whether those tests cover the failures that matter, including unexpected external responses.
